This class is appropriate for folks who are brand new to mindfulness as well as those with prior experience.

The goodness within you is immeasurable. To tap into that goodness — to know your own potential for love, compassion, creativity, connection and flourishing — you must know who are most truly.

Strictly speaking, mindfulness meditation practice is a training of attention.

The teacher chooses an object of focus, and you explore placing and sustaining your attention on that object. It may be your breath, it may be your body. It could as well be your thoughts, emotions, or the five senses.

Whatever is selected, you explore placing your attention, noticing when it wanders, and then gently guiding it back.

Practicing patiently in just this way, your attention grows stronger and stronger, more and more clear.

Your attention goes from the scatteredness of the wind to the stability of the mountain.

There is another aspect. A transformational one.

You are a fundamentally good person. You are loving, compassionate, capable, creative, kind and connective. This is who you are most fundamentally.

Why don't you feel that way?

We live at a time an in a culture that subverts healthy connection and self-worth. It’s also rife with conversation about how “bad”, “broken” or “burdensome”. You are: in short — you’ve gotten bad information.

Mindfulness meditation is a process of getting to know yourself clearly and deeply. If you have a skillful teacher and support, you will come to see — beyond doubt — the goodness that is present within you.

And from that place of goodness, you live.
